Gosford Classic Car Museum, Sydney, Australia

Situated a little over an hour from Sydney just off the M1 is every car lover’s dream, a place of sanctity and beauty beyond compare. It is quite a shock when you walk in, as you’re greeted by multiple cars you’ve probably only ever seen in photographs. To see them in the flesh is a whole new experience that will leave you with goosebumps and a huge grin on your face. The inside of the museum has been completely refurbished, as it was previously a 'Bunnings' Warehouse which was purchased in 2015 by Mr. Tony Denny and his team.

The floors are now polished, which certainly makes everything even more appealing to look at. Alongside every car, you’ll find an information panel that give specifications such as the engine capacity, weight, torque and of course the names of each car. This is the home for over 400 rare classic cars, new cars and even a few motorbikes. The collection is worth over $70 million which includes 35 Ferraris, 10 Lamborghinis and 14 Jaguars. There are Holdens spanning 1948 to 1978, a 1974 Montreal Alfa Romeo, a 1965 Aston Martin, a Rolls-Royce 20HP from 1927, a 1972 911S Targa Porsche and a 1947 TG MG. . The Gosford Classic Car Museum is one of the 5 largest car museums in the world, and the largest in Australia. 95% of the collection has been purchased from within Australia. The only imported vehicles are some Soviet and European motorcars.

Have you been to the museum yet? With a $20 entry fee, the museum is well worth the visit, particularly considering the time and effort taken to keep this collection in the pristine condition.
