Often billed as the “Most famous car in the world": 1963 Aston Martin DB5

The Aston Martin DB5 is a British luxury grand tourer that was made by Aston Martin in the 1960s. The DB5 is most famous for being the most recognized cinematic car, which was first appeared in the James Bond movie 'Goldfinger' (1964). The combination of beautiful Italian design, British engineering and clever gadgets from an expert in special effects, set the tone for Bond films and the publicity almost certainly saved Aston Martin from one of its perennial financial crises. Initially the car was sold for a few thousand dollars but after all the fame that was gained, the car it went to auction at almost 5 million dollars.
